Quest’s Soldier/Champion Build

One of the most known Fallen Six, was the Cross Defender Quest. This Guide is to help you build up your Soldier Job Class in a fashion like The Iron Skull, Quest.

Quest like some of the great players of DOTC was part of the Fallen Six Squad, and later became a powerful Champion that help lead the Principality Empire. He had earned the title of The Iron Skull, and was known to be one of the strongest Champions to have roamed the Defenders of the Cross Universe.

As you'll learn many Cross Defenders helped shape and mold the diverse Job Classes that exist in the lands. Quest was one of those that shaped the Soldier and Champion Job Class.

Let's begin with the basics. As a defender you should know the diverse stats that are needed for your character. As a soldier you of course know Strength is your main stat. Here is a small list of all six:

1. Strength (STR) = Increases a Defenders Health Points, Defense, Attack Power and Weight.
2. Dexterity (DEX) = Increases Dodge Rate, Attack Speed and Attack Power with Dual Wielded Weapons.
3. Intelligence and Wisdom (INT) = Increases Energy (Mana Points), Mystic Defense and Mystic Attack Power.
4. Concentration (CON) = Increases Attack Accuracy, Attack Power with Range Weapons and Crafting Success.
5. Charisma and Charm (CHA) = Increases Drop Rate of Items, N.P.C Interaction, M.O.B Interaction, S.N.P.C Interaction, Demon Interaction and Drill Success Rate.
6. Sense and Sensibility (SEN) = Increases the rate of Critical, Attack Power, Quality of Crafting and Refine Success Rate. Decreases the rate of Critical done by your opponents.

Now let's begin: Job Quest

As a Visitor with aspiration to become a Soldier you will find yourself fighting in the Adventurer's Plain. The best way to level up to ten is by going to the nearest Monster Farm. This is a location where you can locate a bunch of monsters together, sometimes accompanied by a Giant. Remain in this location, with a Party Level 50 to grind quickly. With every level you gain focus on raising your STR stat. This is very important for you. You will also need to get an Axe or Spear.

Once you reach level ten it is time to head towards Mairard. This Crazy Old Man will give you a quest, one you should definitely do quickly. He will give you an Identification which is to be given to Warren in the Canyon City.

Warren says you cannot become a Soldier unless you receive a recommendation. You should talk to Leonard in Canyon City in order to obtain one.

Leonard wants you to collect 10 HoneyBee Stingers as part of his test to prove you're worthy of becoming a Soldier. Now he wants you to fight Elder Pumpkins and bring him 3 Pumpkin Seeds. At last, Leonard has written a recommendation letter for you. With this, Warren will trust you enough to be a Soldier.

Stat Distribution

In order to do a Quest Build you need to focus on several stats besides your STR. You will have to focus on your SEN.

STR stands for Strength.

  • Adds Attack Power to One- Handed Weapons
  • Adds Attack Power to Two Handed Weapons
  • Adds Attack Power to Launchers
  • Adds Attack Power to Dual Wielded Weapons
  • Adds Attack Power to Staffs
  • Adds Attack Power to Crossbows and Bow guns
  • Adds Health Points
  • Adds Defense points
  • Adds Max Weight (WT)

SEN stands for Sense and Sensibility.

  • Adds Attack Power to Mace and Axe
  • Adds Critical Rate points
  • Increase Defense Points against Critical Points

As a Quest Build your Critical is what matter the most. You don't want to just hit an opponent but deal massive critical damage to slow him down. As you start to level up it might become a good idea to raise CON and increase your Hit Rate a bit.

When reach Level 215 you should have Str 300, Sen 300 and Con 175 (without equipment).

Soldier Skill Distribution

Skill Points are also part of your build, like Quest he focused all his skills on perfecting the Two-Handed Axe style. This caused him to become a great asset on the field and even breakthrough many enemy fortifications. Certain skills require more SP than others, and some can reach up to level 18. The Skills that Require 2 SP are known as Mega Skills.

Let's begin with a Soldier Skill Needs. As you start from level 10-50 you will need to raise certain skills that will need a lot of work. In total you will have 41 Skill Points to use. Choose wisely...

Let's begin with  Weapon Mastery, Triple Attack and Power Overflow.
These three are essential when you are in a low level for Triple Attack will be your first Combat Skill as a Soldier. You will also want Power Overflow so that you can hit your opponents harder with your mighty axe. Let's follow it by adding the Akram Alertness, a requirement for using Bolt Wreck.
Bolt Wreck should also be learned as soon as possible, this is a Mega Skill. It will be one of your strongest attacks and also stuns your opponents.

We continue the Skills with the ones you will need to raise from level 50-100. Be mindful of these skills, don't waste your skill points.

We can begin with Two Handed Mastery and Two Handed Axe Mastery. These passive skills will increase the effectiveness of using a Heavy Axe.
You then continue with raising your next two combat skills Leap Attack and Weapon Launcher.
Weapon Launcher will allow you to hit a target from a distance, thus allowing you to give damage before you start your offensive.

Now for part two: Second Job Class Quest

You have made it to level 100! That is a great achievement in the ever difficult world of Defenders of the Cross. Now it's time for you to become a Champion. Let's start as you go visit Darren to do the Job Class Quest.

Before giving you the Second Job, Darren wants you to meet Crune, a Weapon Merchant in Junon. Now head on over to Crune as he tells you a story.

The world is beginning to forget the legend of Lucid, one great Defender. To revive his memory in the hearts of the people, you must find Lucid's lost crown. It's heard that people saw Supreme Krawfy King with Lucid's Crown. Once you find it, the story will continue... There's a story about Lucid where his sword was shattered after he drove it in the ground to signify his second expedition. You should talk to Leonard, whose family has been charged with keeping the sword fragments, to see if you can find the truth. Now head on to Visit Leonard in the Canyon City.

Leonard has told you that the Supreme Goblin Warriors stole the broken pieces of Lucid's sword after they were hidden in the Goblin Cave. You are now needed to join a Raid, with a clan that heads into the 2nd level of the Goblin Cave and find all 5 Fragments of Lucid's Sword. Leonard will be greatly pleased that you found all the pieces of Lucid's Sword. Now you should go to Breezy Hills and ask Mairath to restore Lucid's Sword.

Mairath said that the Token of Friendship is necessary to restore Lucid's Sword. You might be able to find the Token of Friendship in the Gorge of Silence where the Supreme Stone Golems may have dug it up. Now let's find and fight the Supreme Stone Golem. Finish that quickly and Mairath has restored Lucid's Sword using the sword fragments and the Token of Friendship. Although the idea of keeping the sword is tempting, you should donate it to the Kingdom's Museum by speaking to Jones.

Jones has written a recommendation for you. Show it to Darren in Junon Polis so you that you will be able to change to the Second Job. Congratulations on your promotion to Champion.

Champion Skill Distribution

The Quest Build consisted of many specific skills that you must focus on as a Champion. From now on you must focus all your skill points since level 100-300 on increasing the following:

We'll start with the four basic passives. Advanced Two Handed Mastery, Advanced Two Handed Axe Mastery, Battle Sense Mastery and Champion Combat Mastery. These skills will increase your damage with an Axe.
The next skills you are to raise are in an order. These are Champion Hit, Champion Spirit, Beserk and lastly Slugger.
Once maxed out all of these skill you should proceed to increasing Quest Attack, Quick Step, Charge, Repose, Physical Training, Refreshment and Staminal Training. Quest Attack will allow you to take from their HP to add to yours. This is great because you will want to get that extra health during combat. This would complete the Quest Build in Skills. If you have any remaining Skill Points, you feel free to use them as you wish.

Quest's Equipment Build

A Quest Build will require two very important things, Attack Speed and Attack Power.

The Soldier of this build will use Back shields most of the time even in combat, this is because they will increase your defense.
They will also focus mainly on gathering armor and equipment that will raise their attack speed and attack power. Such as Chivalrous Armors, Precious Armors, Luminous Armors, Brave Armors or Legendary Armors. Many armors with appraisal also have attack speed increase.
The Weapon used by soldiers with such a build is an Axe. Hardened, Precious, Brave, Darkened or with attack power and attack speed appraisals. These weapons must also have a socket and always slotted with Peridots.
The Jewelry used by a Quest Build must also be solely focused on Attack Power and slotted with Peridots. Some say the Lava Set or Typhoon Set are the best one for the job.

With this we conclude the Quest Soldier/Champion Build Guide. Hope it was useful for you, like Quest you will be ready to face on any opponent with attack speed and strong attack power. No one will resist the might of you Axe Throw.
